Carmen Veliz

Carmen was born in Valparaiso, Chile and has obtained her BA in Fine Art from The University of Plymouth. Most of her work is rooted in life experiences such as death, isolation, exile and the pain of parting, tempered by hope resurgence and growth. Her roots have a great influence on her work.

“As a painter I’m interested in using colour, shape and design to convey ideas, feelings and experiences. Travel has played an important part in the colours and combinations of colours I use.”
