Hanna Lott

Hanna was born in the Czech Republic and moved to the UK in 1968. She graduated from The University of Plymouth in 2004 with a BA in Fine Art. She also has HNC in printmaking.

The main subject of her paintings is landscape, mainly Exmoor, where she has lived for over thirty years. Her paintings are figurative and her preferred medium is pastel, acrylic and mixed media.

“The landscape is always changing, with different moods and wonderful colours. The Red Devonian soil in the fields, the Jurassic coastline, bleached winter grasses and wonderful purple heather.  Then there is the Italian landscape of my holidays, filled with light and colour. I am primarily a colourist and my paintings are figurative, often supported by strong drawing”.
