After years teaching, Marion took an Arts Foundation Course at Trowbridge College in the mid nineties and graduated from the University of the West of England with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art in 1998. She won the Rebecca Smith Award for printmaking in 1998 and the Oexmann Art Competition in 2005.

“Most of my work is responses to tactile surfaces, natural rhythms, shapes and colour seen in the natural world. The landscape provides a great source of material from which to develop images.  Working from the landscape and natural forms, my own interest is less in the actual representation and more in the embodiment of an emotional response. I prefer to use printmaking techniques and mixed media to express my response to natural form.”
