Terri trained as a painter and printmaker at the University of Bristol. She has worked from her studio in Bruton and her studio at Shave Farm, South Brewham since 1990 where the natural environment is her main inspiration; in particular the sea and landscape on the Penwith in Cornwall and the Jurassic Coast in Dorset where she studies ocean, rocks, sand and earth, essential elements that the world is made of. 

Certain specific locations hold a particular fascination and constant visits to draw and makes notes allow her to build a bank of ‘thoughts’ which later develop into part of the continuing story of these mysterious and enchanting places. She has a fascination for surface and colour and constantly strives to achieve a sense of a ‘moment in time’.
